Still, they are necessary for your brand if you want to grow. It&#8217;s an opportunity to rebound totally. There is always room for improvement on Instagram. So, let&#8217;s make a pact right here. We will resolve to do even better in the coming year. What is a New Year&#8217;s resolution that you can keep up? It doesn&#8217;t have to be crazy. It should still be somewhat attainable. The feeling you get if you fail to reach it isn&#8217;t worth it. To make things easier, we have a few resolutions you could consider for your brand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Engage_With_Other_Users_Posts_More\"><\/span>Engage With Other Users\u2019 Posts More<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You have to get out of the mindset that you&#8217;re in this alone. IG pays attention to how much you engage with other people as well. It&#8217;s a limiting mindset to think that you will propel another page forward by sharing and liking their posts. If you have confidence in your brand, you will have no problem sharing another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It can work out in your favor. Say you&#8217;re a <a href=\"https:\/\/plixi.com\/resources\/how-to-become-a-fitness-influencer-and-make-the-real-gains\">fitness influencer<\/a>. You follow a huge account like Massy. Don&#8217;t be afraid to slip into the comments on a post and share your thoughts. Chances are, other fitness enthusiasts will be looking through the comments, too. If your comments are compelling enough, they may tap on your username and head over to your page. While looking through your page, they can decide whether they want to follow or just like a few posts. <a href=\"https:\/\/plixi.com\/resources\/how-to-increase-engagement-on-instagram-and-keep-it-there\">You&#8217;ve earned engagement<\/a> by doing a basic IG act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you share a post of someone in your industry, tag them. They may repost you and expose their following to you. Don&#8217;t underestimate the power of a repost. Just make sure when these prospective followers come to your page, the content is follow-worthy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Stop_Comparing_Your_Life\"><\/span>Stop Comparing Your Life<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes, we see the fancy cars the lifestyle influencer drives, too. We see the travel influencer in their tenth country for the year. From the vantage point of your 9-5 desk job, these images are a bit frustrating. They are not inspiring all the time. It&#8217;s hard for them to influence you if you simply don&#8217;t have the resources to follow them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Social media never started as a place where you could see a play-by-play of a stranger&#8217;s life. It definitely shouldn&#8217;t be a place you dread going to while trying to achieve your dreams. If you need to log off, know that you can. Deactivate your IG account for a while if you need to. You can <a href=\"https:\/\/plixi.com\/resources\/how-to-mute-someone-on-instagram-amp-curate-your-feed-content\">mute the Instagram user<\/a> that makes you feel inadequate. While you&#8217;re on your influencer journey, make sure you protect your peace. Trying to keep up with those huge <a href=\"https:\/\/plixi.com\/resources\/instagram-influencers-your-vip-pass-into-the-inner-circle\">influencers<\/a> may cost you your sanity and the individuality in your branding. Feel free to schedule those posts and hide your phone away. Return when you&#8217;re in a better head space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s a bonus tip: pay it forward. You know what it\u2019s like to look at an influencer and feel less than. When you make it on IG, don\u2019t let your brand be like that. Romanticize your life all you want, but add instances of realism. Mention that something isn\u2019t in your budget. Talk about how you don\u2019t feel confident without makeup right now because of your skin. Be the influencer you would have loved to see. You can balance being aspirational with being relatable. Your true followers will appreciate it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Get_Out_of_Your_Way\"><\/span>Get Out of Your Way<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Brace yourself. We\u2019re about to give out some tough love. How long will you be your biggest obstacle? You can say all the time that the Instagram algorithm is against you. This doesn&#8217;t mean that you can&#8217;t manipulate it in your favor. Maybe you think that people think you&#8217;re cringe. Who cares? They can unfollow or mute your IG page if they think that. If you see people unfollow, they are just doing your job for you. You want followers that engage, anyway. The dormant ones that never liked your content should do. They just bruise your <a href=\"https:\/\/plixi.com\/resources\/engagement-rate-on-instagram-the-number-that-really-matters\">engagement rate<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You have to believe in your brand before anyone else does. How else will you <a href=\"https:\/\/plixi.com\/resources\/instagram-collaboration-teamwork-makes-the-dream-work\">approach brands for collaborations<\/a>? Have confidence in your brand, and your tribe will find you. You can come up with as many excuses as you want. Your camera isn&#8217;t sharp enough. Your clothes aren&#8217;t as nice as everyone else&#8217;s. Let&#8217;s resolve to stop making excuses.
